So, we find ourselves like his early apprentices, climbing a Hillside, then sitting and listening.
Our aim is that through the quality of our lives, we will reflect Jesus and establish common life his way.
Join us as we ‘discover the One on the hill’.

No Matter What You Matter.

You matter to God and you matter to us.

It doesn't matter what you've done, how you feel or what you believe. We believe that Christ died for you as an everlasting sign that you are loved by God.

The church opened its doors for the first time.

The Church merges with two other local churches when the council forces them to sell and move. The church building undergoes a radical rebuild making it fit for the 1970s.

Richard and Susanna join us with Richard as the full time Pastor.

Hillside Church is our new name reflecting the continued desire to serve the local area and learn to live like Jesus' taught from the Hillside.

We think:

  • Since the first followers of Christ have gathered together on the first day of the week we will too.
  • Prayer is a conversation with God and we are all invited.
  • Jesus wants children to know how important they are to him and to his kingdom.
  • Eating together is really good and God is present at every table.
  • God is the one who least wants to control you so churches shouldn't be controlling places.
  • The Bible is the word of God and can be useful to all aspects of your life.
  • The Holy Spirit is active in the world and does amazing unimaginable things among ordinary people.
